In Windows 10 

  1. Open Control Panel.

  2. Go to -> Power Options -> Under the current selected Power Plan (e.g. Balanced / High Performance ), select Change Power Settings.

  3. Click Change advanced power settings.

  4. Under Battery, expand Low Battery level. In On battery, set the value to 10%.

  5. Under Battery, expand Critical Battery action, In On battery, set it to Shutdown

  6. Click Apply and Ok


In Mac OSX

  1. Open Energy Saver Preferences
  2. Choose UPS > Shutdown Options...
  3. Choose Shut down the computer when the time remaining on the UPS battery is: 1min
  4. Choose Shut down the computer when the UPS battery level is below: 3%
  5. Choose Done
